Agent Wow: Supplier of the Month

Agent Wow: Supplier of the Month

We're proud to announce that we are Agent Wow's supplier of the month!

In our interview with Agent Wow we talked proptech, property marketing, and helping our agents succeed. You can read the interview below!

AW: What location/regions do you operate in?

The ValPal Network: We are located in Beckenham, South East London but we work on a national scale.

AW: How long have you been in business?

The ValPal Network: We have been operating since January 2014.

AW: What are your main services/activities?

The ValPal Network: We are a network of Estate and Letting Agents, comprising more than 800 agency brands with over 4,000 offices. We provide the market’s leading instant online valuation tool which helps agents to convert the traffic they have already paid for into leads and enquiries.

On top of this, we provide our members with numerous other services which help them to generate more revenue and improve their overall marketing strategy. We also partner with some of the industry’s best suppliers to offer discounts and special offers to our members.

AW: Who are your main team members?

The ValPal Network: Our main team members are, Craig Vile, Director of The ValPal Network and Nat Daniels, CEO of Angels Media, owner of The ValPal Network.

AW: What do you do differently?

The ValPal Network: We’re more than just an online valuation tool. We provide a range of marketing services and products (including live chat, training webinars, social media management and content) which help agents to drive more traffic to their website and subsequently generate more leads and take on more instructions.

We have also recently launched a range of new products with the aim of making membership to The ValPal Network cost-positive. For example, MovePal partners with various industry suppliers, allowing agents to generate more revenue through referrals. Similarly, PortalPal maximises the revenue agents can make from the buyer and tenant enquiries they get through the main portals. You can see more information about our comprehensive range of services here.

AW: How do you help/benefit Estate Agents/Letting Agents/property professionals?

The ValPal Network: In the simplest terms, we help Estate and Letting Agents to generate more leads and enquiries which gives them the opportunity to book more market appraisals and take on more instructions. On top of this, we help them to revolutionise their marketing strategy, which will drive even more convertible traffic back to their website.

We also have products which provide agents with the opportunity to generate more revenue through referrals to moving service providers. These services can make membership to our network cost-positive, meaning we pay you more commission than it costs you to subscribe. Win, win!

AW: What do you think is coming in the property industry next?

The ValPal Network: As Letting Agents’ revenues are squeezed due to the upcoming ban on fees charged to tenants and Estate Agents’ average commission fee continues to decrease thanks to the rise of fixed-fee and up-front business models, we believe that if agents want to continue to prosper they will need to make the most of opportunities to generate additional revenue from the whole moving process.

When prospective vendors, buyers and landlords make an enquiry with an agent, this shouldn’t be the end of the journey. This is the perfect time for agents to provide consumers with the opportunity to purchase additional services they will need and subsequently generate revenue from these referrals. That’s why we’ve developed MovePal and PortalPal to help agents increase their income at a time when the market is becoming more challenging.
AW: What would you like to see happen/change in the industry or arrive on the proptech scene?

The ValPal Network: We would like to see more Estate and Letting Agents take a pro-active approach to their marketing. A lot of agents spend a lot of money on marketing campaigns without thinking about how their investment is going to directly generate them new business. Tweaking a marketing campaign to include a call to action which entices prospective vendors and landlords can make a huge difference to an agent’s bottom line.

Agents are always on the lookout for new instructions as they are the lifeblood of their business and so the industry needs to work harder to convert website traffic into leads as in this day and age, an agent’s website is their all-important ‘virtual shop window’.
